Warts

Symptoms

Warts are rough and sometimes tender bumps that can appear anywhere on the body but are particularly common on the hands and feet.

What Are Warts?

Warts are a common viral skin condition caused by the human papillomavirus (HPV), resulting in thicker skin growths and lesions. They can appear anywhere on the body and be contagious, particularly among children. While most warts resolve on their own, their lifespan can range from 2 to 4 years on average.

Dapper Dermatology Approach

Warts are typically treated with topical agents and in-office procedures. We can design an evidence-based prescription regimen to expedite wart resolution. Additionally, we may recommended discussing the utility of the HPV vaccine with your primary care physician to help prevent future outbreaks.
