    Patients in Texas, Georgia and North Dakota are able to be seen virtually for medical services via our digital platform.

    All patients are able to be seen, regardless of insurance status (uninsured, private insurance, Medicare, or Medicaid).

    Dr. Swigost holds an active medical license in Texas, Georgia and North Dakota and is board-certified by the American Board of Dermatology.

  • We partner directly with you, the patient, to improve the health and quality of your skin.

    Direct patient care means we do not accept insurance for our services. Other common terms include self pay or cash pay - which are common for those with high deductible healthcare plans.

    This eliminates bureaucratic obstacles (e.g. insurance and administrative hurdles), ensuring transparency and efficiency.

  • Dapper Dermatology is out-of-network with all insurance providers. You are responsible for the visit cost at the time of your appointment. If desired, we can provide you with a coded receipt for a small fee that you can submit to your insurance provider; please note, reimbursement is not guaranteed and is entirely the patient's responsibility. However, you may be able to use your HSA or FSA for medical services (not cosmetic consultations or treatments) - check with your carrier beforehand. We also collaborate with local labs to provide affordable options for services.

    Your insurance drug coverage is distinct from the provider network and should cover necessary medications. We also collaborate with a variety of compounding and specialty pharmacies for cost-effective options.

  • No, you do not need a referral. By eliminating insurance, all patients may book with us directly.

  • If an in-person evaluation is necessary for patients outside of Austin in the states of Texas, Georgia or North Dakota, we'll recommend visiting a board-certified dermatologist in your local community.

  • We require at least 24 hours' notice for appointment changes or cancellations, with the exception of surgical appointments. All surgical appointments require at least 48 hours' notice for changes or cancellations.

    Patients who provide less notice or miss their appointment will be billed for the full visit cost.

    Late arrivals will receive the remaining scheduled time and be billed for the full visit cost.

  • Punctuality is critical to our practice running on time and ensuring equity to all our patients. We value our patients' time just as much as our own.

  • Payment is due at the time of your appointment. A credit card must be kept on file in our electronic medical record to be eligible for a visit. We accept all major credit cards, HSAs, and FSAs. Please check with your HSA/FSA provider to confirm eligibility before booking.

  • The best way to schedule your appointment is through our online EMR which is HIPPA compliant.
